Happy new year!

2025 was wild! It’s hard to believe how quickly the year flew by. It was a year packed with creativity, community, storytelling, and many more at Infinity Labs.

Looking back, it’s crazy how much was packed into the year. Three short fiction writing contests with over 260 stories submitted, an AI art remix challenge with 309 reimagined scenes in total, more than 100 builders and artists featured along the way, and so much more.

Time and time again, the community blew us away us with its energy, creativity, and passion.

There’s too much to fit into a single post or thread, so here’s a full recap of everything that happened in the Infinity Labs community in 2025.

Let’s dive in.

We kicked off the year by announcing our 2nd Short Fiction Writing Contest, inviting writers to expand the Infinity Universe with new lore.

At the same time, our Artists to Watch Series continued spotlighting artists, while the final episodes of our 2nd Breakpoint Builders Series featuring builders were released.

It was a strong start! One that set the tone for a year centered on storytelling, building, and creative.

February

In February, our 2nd Breakpoint Builders Series wrapped up, featuring 15 builders from across the ecosystem, from students to artists to creators.

The Artists to Watch series kept rolling, giving the community fresh artwork and creator features week after week.

March

March was an exciting month for writers! Our 2nd Short Fiction Writing Contest wrapped up with 111 stories from 99 unique writers, the biggest turnout we’d seen at that point.

On top of that, Solana Collective kicked off its first content hackathon of the year, and Infinity Labs Community sponsored a short fiction track with a Solana Superheroes theme.

This made it a back-to-back lore writing contest for our community. Writers had to feature builders from our Builders Series while keeping the Solverse alive in their stories, a fresh theme and a fun challenge!

April

We spent April deep in stories. From 111 submitted stories, we chose our top 3 winners for our 2nd Short Fiction Writing Contest, along with 3 honorable mentions to recognize standout storytelling beyond the winners.

Huge shout-out to all the incredible writers who contributed to the Solverse!

June

For the first time ever, Infinity Labs brought the Builders Series to the Solana APAC Summit in Da Nang, Vietnam!

Over 1,000 builders from 40+ teams across 60+ countries joined the event. We interviewed 9 amazing builders, exploring what they’re building and their journeys in the ecosystem.

July

Our AI Art Remix Contest returned in July, challenging the community to create art for our next film, The Infinite Canvas: The Edge of Both Ends by Jaymie Lee. Artists are encouraged to draw inspiration from the Infinity scenes and bring their boldest visions to life.

Throughout the month, we continued highlighting builders and artists through our ongoing spotlight series, sharing stories of what people are building, creating, and experimenting with across the ecosystem.

August

August came in strong with a flood of amazing AI art submissions, 309 reimagined scenes from 31 unique artists! With so many standout AI art, picking the winners wasn’t easy. To recognize more of the incredible work, we narrowed the entries down to a Top 10 before revealing the final winners later that month.

Shortly after, we kicked off production for our next community film, The Infinite Canvas: The Edge of Both Ends, turning the winning visions into something bigger.

September

In September, our third community film, “The Infinite Canvas: The Edge of Both Ends”, was released, and the feedback from the community meant everything to us. Watching a story grow from words into a finished film was a moment we won’t forget.

The Solana Collective also announced the fALL OUT Content Hackathon ahead of year’s end. We were excited to jump back in and sponsor another short fiction writing track.

We also saw the Solverse Wiki grow beyond written lore. Community-built games Visions and Peaceful Pieces by our OG member Koen made their way into the wiki. It has evolved beyond a simple lore hub, now uniting stories, AI-remixed scenes, and community-created games all in one place.
